Plum Attraction Nails

A new haircut meant a new hair colour so what better way to top them both off than with nails to match!

I Painted These Nails Using the Following Polishes...

*Plum Attraction by Revlon
*Gold Digger by L.A. Colors

Application:
I have had this particular Revlon polish in my collection for years and I still adore it. The application is still smooth after years of storage and it only requires 2 coats for a nice, rich colour and covering. The Gold Digger polish by L.A. Colors is a recent purchase and I found the application of this one to be great too. Nice and easy to apply and  also only requiring 2 coats for a nice opaque finish.

Poppy Nails for ANZAC Day

With ANZAC Day fast approaching here in New Zealand and Australia I wanted to try something to commemorate our ANZAC's. Below is my little poppy effort - :)

The polishes I used are listed below in order of the pictures from top to bottom and left to right...

*Hot Red by Jordana
*Green Tea ( 23 ) by CR - Cairuo
*5th Ave. by Jordana
*Black Pop Art Polish by Jordana
*84 by CR - Cairuo ( A cute gold glitter that is only good over other polishes )

I'm quite happy with the poppies as I've never used nail art brushes before. Not bad for a first attempt - Hehehe. Hope you like them - :)

Sailor Nails

New sailor nails by request - :)

These Nails Were Painted Using the Following Polishes...

*Bright Blue by Jordana
*Hot Red by Jordana
*White Pop Art Polish by Jordana

Application: The Hot Red polish was opaque in 2 coats. The Bright Blue polish however, needed 3 coats and possibly could have done with another which is disappointing considering Jordana is usually such a great polish - :(

Galaxy Nails!!!

Galaxy nails in shades of pink and purple. I was doubtful that I could actually pull these off and am so totally stoked that I did - :D

The inspiration for my colour combo was a new tee I purchased ( see pic below ) while out shopping with my middle son on Saturday.

The polishes I used are listed below in order of the pictures from top to bottom and left to right...

*Black by Jordana ( For the base - not shown )
*Purple Punch by Jordana
*Silky Purple by Jordana
*Lavender Fields by Jordana
*Purple Dynamite by Jordana ( A really strange name for a hot pink polish - hahaha )
*Love Bug by Jordana
*Crystal Glitter by Jordana ( This glitter is gorgeous and easy to remove too )

Simple Black Nails

Sleek black nails. Everyone loves them right? While they may be out of season now I personally think they are a classic go to for almost any occasion.

These Nails Were Painted Using the Following Polish...

*Black by Jordana

Application:
I love Jordana polishes and have over 40 of them in my collection so far. As with the Soft White used in my previous post, Jordana's Black polish was opaque in 2 coats and glides on so easily. What's even better is the fact it's available in $2 Dollar Shops here in N.Z for just $3 making it super cheap - :)

My First Nail Art Post - WooHoo!!!

Hi everyone, welcome to my little slice of the net and thanks for stopping by. My plans for this blog are really very simple. To indulge my new found love of nail art, share it with like minded people and hopefully pass on a little useful information along the way.

These Nails Were Painted Using the Following Polishes...

*Hazy by Revlon
*Soft White by Jordana
*Pedal To The Metal by Maybelline

Application: I have found both the Revlon and Jordana polishes to be 2 of my favourites. Both apply extremely easily and are opaque in 2 coats. The Maybelline polish however, needed 3 coats for the finish I wanted.

Overall I absolutely love this look. And it was so simple, the only additional "tool" needed was a toothpick which I used as my dotting tool for the white spots.
